Psoriasis is a skin condition caused by an immune system disorder in the body. It causes and over production of skin cells. It can be hereditary and since you have psoriasis it may go away, and come back.

How to Cure Psoriasis

It can often be very itchy, red, sore, cracked and very tender. Psoriasis usually affects the scalp, hands, stomach, knees, feet and elbows. It is not contagious or cancerous.

In some people, psoriasis is more likely to flare up in certain situations and factors such as:

There are many effective treatment choices for psoriasis. The best treatment is individually determined by the treating physician and depends on the type of disease and its severity.

In general, the following treatment options are used for patients with psoriasis:

  • Topical medications such as lotions, ointments, creams, and shampoos
  • Body-wide (systemic) medications, i.e. pills or injections that affect the whole body, not only the skin
  • Phototherapy, which uses light to treat psoriasis
  • Other alternative medications such as
  • Homeopathic treatment for psoriasis
  • Biologics
  • Home remedies for psoriasis
  • Natural Treatment for psoriasis

Several home remedies can also be tried along with proper medical guidance and treatment to cure psoriasis.

Phototherapy

Phototherapy involves exposing the skin to a particular wavelength of ultraviolet light called UVB. Phototherapy is a common, safe and very effective treatment for psoriasis.

It may be given alone or after you take a drug that makes the skin sensitive to light. Phototherapy for psoriasis can be given as ultraviolet A (UVA) or ultraviolet B (UVB) light.

Homeopathic Treatment for Psoriasis

Homeopathic treatment has also proven to be effective for the cure of psoriasis. It targets the immune system disorder of the body to stabilize it. The results may not appear overnight but it’s free of side effects.

Natural Psoriasis Treatment

Natural psoriasis treatment is another way to get rid of this infection without using any sort of chemical medications. The treatment is carried out through herbal tablets, creams, ointments and oil.

The process is however slow.  There are different products on the market for the natural cure of psoriasis such as Psoriasis Free for Life that has proven to be very effective without any side effects.

Biologics for the treatment of Psoriasis

Newer drugs called biologics specifically target the body’s immune response. These drugs are used when other treatments do not work.  All biologics modulate (adjust) and sometime suppress (quiet) the immune system that is overactive in psoriasis.

It’s important to remember that we all are different and something may work for someone to get rid of psoriasis but may not be that effective for someone else. There are many treatments available to cure psoriasis and the patients may have to try and see which one works the best for them.
